Can I advertise my Alumni Owned Business on the CpphsaWeb-org if I do not have a url link [website]?
Yes, you can have your business displayed in an ad block even if you do not have a website. Send your School/classyear, name, company name, and a brief description of your business. You can also include a phone number. Send this information to CpphsaWeb-org.net and it will be evaluated and processed. Ad blocks are in the footer of the homepage of CpphsaWeb-Org.net
Why was CpphsaWeb.org created?
CpphsaWeb-Org.net was originally created when Dave Conlin stated that he would be retiring permanently and it appeared that Cpphsaa.org was being discontinued as the Alumni Association. It was felt that alumni of EHS/WHS/CHS should have at least a minimum website for their utilization. The Facebook page that is now used by CpphsaaInc was also created for the same purpose.

At this point [Jan 2012], CpphsaWeb-org.net became a Nostalgic Site that incorporates options that CpphsaaInc at some point expressed no interest in offering to alumni. It is unknown if CpphsaaInc [the Alumni Association group] will successfully continue in existence .... so CpphsaWeb-Org.net continues on covering whatever seems of interest to alumni and especially to the creator of CpphsaWeb-org.net [me].

It should be known that there is no reason that more than one website can not offer coverage to EHS/WHS/CHS alumni. If you have a reunion, it is best to post it in as many locations as possible including the Corning Leader, Shopper, Pennysaver, or other newspapers available. You might also want to send postcards [etc] or use the phone to call your classmates. You never know where your fellow alumni will look for information about a reunion or even you.

It is nice that the school colors of EHS/WHS/CHS are maroon, green, yellow [gold], black, and white .... as they complement each other well and are very cheery and uplifting.
Why are you involved in CpphsaWeb?
The Summer of 1997 through early Feb 2012, I was a member of Cpphsaa.org. That is about 14 1/2 years . However, CpphsaWeb-org.net is less alumni-political, more cheerful, a lot calmer, and has a whole lot less bureaucracy than an Alumni Association.

CpphsaWeb-org.net is not a business site and as such not business-like in appearance or function.

I am involved because it is interesting, fun to do, and I have the time to do it. It keeps my mind active.
Why are particular programs or scripts used on CpphsaWeb-org.net when better ones might exist?
CpphsaWeb-Org.net has a zero budget operation and thus can only use programs that are freeware, open source, or inexpensive [under $50]. Thus, programs and scripts are chosen for use on that basis.

CpphsaWeb-org.net does not accept donations, but a program can be donated or you can purchase a program/script to use for your scrapbook or yearbook, if desired. Such programs/scripts must be free of virus or destructive behavior to the site, host, and viewers.
Why does the In-Memory Lists for EHS/WHS/CHS only have school/class/name and not memorial information?
CpphsaaInc may/maynot maintain a general alumni database that contains this information and may/may-not list such on their site.

CpphsaWeb-org.net only maintains a limited database which does not include this information. However, the names are included in the database as are all alumni from 1964 - beyond. This may change in the future.
Does CpphsaWeb-org.net accept memorbilia for display on its website?
Yes, CpphsaWeb-org.net has a limited amount of memorbilia available. Sometimes alumni donate items they no longer need for offering to other alumni who might be interested in them. The owner of the memorbilia designates the cost [if there is one- which there usually is not] and contact information to obtain such.

There may be pictures, throws, etc available.
What questions can NOT be asked of the CpphsaWeb-Org Director?
I cannot answer questions on Reunion Contacts unless they are listed on the Reunion/Events topic of CpphsaWeb-Org BLOG.
Can I create a scrapbook using another format than that already on the website?
Yes, as long as various browsers can display it. Main browsers would be Explorer, Mozella versions, Opera, Chrome, and Sarfari.

Also, you should have the displayed pages readable or viewable. If the program you plan to use only has limited size display, you might want a link to display a larger version of the page or pages.

Also, the scrapbook must be displayable online via the CpphsaWeb-org.net website or a link to your scrapbook start webpage. Submit your link for the scrapbook to CpphsaWeb-org.net
Are there existing clippings and images to place on a scrapbook?
Many clippings and pictures exist for many classes. However, not all classes may have such already in existence. You can obtain a scanned image for manipulation and placement in your scrapbook if you are creating one. Newspapers and old photos are kept on file by CpphsaWeb-Org. which you can clip/scan/use on your scrapbook, if desired.
Why scrapbooks? Is anyone even interested in such a thing?
Scrapbooks may not be of interest to all or even many alumni from a particular class. However, there are some alumni that are interested in such a scrapbook. Even if the scrapbooks are not viewed repetitively by any particular alumni, they are very worth doing for those who ARE interested in them.

Also, they are fun to do for the creator/maintainer of any particular scrapbook.
Who can volunteer to help with CpphsaWeb-org?
Any WHS, EHS, CHS, alumni or its staff can volunteer with CpphsaWeb-org.net and Junior/Senior Students attending Corning-Painted Post District School can volunteer.

All Saints, Math-Science, and other Middle School alumni can volunteer to work on sections pertaining to their fellow classmates or shcool. Also, these schools Junior/Senior Students attending them can volunteer to work on their school alumni sections of CpphsaWeb-org.net
Do I have to currently reside in Corning-Painted Post area or nearby in order to volunteer with CpphsaWeb-org.net?
No, you can live anywhere in the World and participate in a volunteer position with CpphsaWeb-org.

Interaction with other volunteers can be done via email, chat, or phone and potental new internet systems. There is always Snail-Mail [postal mail] as well for interacting with each other.
How does Volunteering work in CpphsaWeb-org.net?
CpphsaWeb does not have a Board of Directors or hierarchy of any kind.

A volunteer volunteers to do a task position, takes responsibility for that task, does that task.

If there is more than one volunteer for a task, they work together to get the task done or they each take a portion of the task and do that portion. An example: Each could do a yearbook or sequence of yearbooks or each could do one segment of clippings .. like EHS or WHS, etc.

All volunteers can give suggestions and input to the site and all such suggestions will be considered equally.

Marilyn has final say for the good of the site. Majority does not rule, but common sense and good judgement does. Your suggestion will not be negated.
Who is Marilyn Ameigh-Moore?
Marilyn {Ameigh} Moore is a West High School 1965 graduate - Painted Post, New York. She graduated from Corning Community College in 1985 with an AAS in Technology/Information Science.

Her field is Com-pro-tec Commisionist, which is a mixture of Computer Operator, Programmer, Technical Data Management and Website Design/Creation8. Her last position was as Data Manager in Maryland. She has held many jobs/positions over the years [due to economic ups/downs] so her life has been anything but boring. She has had a lot of variety in life.

Marilyn was a member/volunteer in Cpphsaa from 1997-2012. She was Vice President from 1997-2010 and Interm President for a year in 2011. When Dave Conlin retired, she kept Cpphsaa going until a new Board of Dirs existed to manage and incorporate it. They have since abandoned the Alumni Association so it does not exist anymore.

Marilyn is 75 years old and handicapped so she does not get around a lot. That is why pictures often come from google or bing. She enjoys keeping mentally active.
Will CpphsaWeb-org list my yearbook for sale?
Yes, just notify by email cpphsaweb@CpphsaWeb-Org.net the yearbooks you have for sale, your name, your school, your grad year [or year you should have graduated], the cost you which to charge per year book, whether it includes shipping/handling, and a contact email address or postal mail address so they can contact you for arrangements of transfer.

Your list of yearbooks and information can be listed on the Yearbooks "For Sale" page of CpphsaWeb-org.net BLOG so that other alumni and visitiors can know about your sale items.
Why are yearbooks being scanned and placed online?
Even though not all alumni will be interested in all yearbooks or even a yearbook, some alumni find them fun or useful to use.

In a your reunion year [if you have lost or never had your yearbook], you might like to view your class yearbook [if it is online] to look back at your high school years. Also, often when we reach the big -0- year such as 40 or 60 years of age, we get nostalgic and want to look back in time for a while. Such alumni will enjoy having a yearbook to review. There are also other reasons to occasionally look at a yearbook.

Also, if you are having a reunion, you might want to clip the senior pictures for a badge or maybe a display of some kind. Who knows!
Is there any confidential information on CpphsaWeb-org.net?
NO, there is no confidential CpphsaWeb-org.net maintains an offline database of names, school, and class year and if deceased. It does not list children, or other personal information.

There are no class directories on CpphsaWeb-org.net at this time. If any alumni submitted information appears on a scrapbook, that scrapbook will be id/password protected so only the class year, before class year, and after class year has access to that scrapbook.

CpphsaWeb-Org does not have any confidential information. If Dave Conlin collected any such information, he retained control of it.
Does CpphsaWeb-org track Police Records, Accidents, etc?
